Joomla Extension - ordasoft.com - Reflected Cross-Site Scripting in Book Library (Free) < 6.4.6 - The public book-detail page template, site/views/view_book/tmpl/default.php, echoes the raw title request parameter directly into a double-quoted HTML attribute with no escaping function of any kind (echo $_REQUEST["title"];). A value containing a double quote closes the attribute early and allows arbitrary HTML/JavaScript to follow.

A vulnerability has been identified within Rancher Manager where the Fleet agent wrote resources to downstream clusters using its own cluster-admin credentials instead of the ServiceAccount pinned to the deployment. It affects multi-tenancy environments where different tenants share the same downstream clusters, for example different privileged or untrusted teams inside the same organization. This could lead to overwritten configuration files. This issue affected SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.16 before 0.16.2, 0.15 before 0.15.7, and 0.14 before 0.14.11.

A vulnerability was discovered in Fleet's Git webhook receiver (the gitjob webhook service). When a webhook secret is not configured, incoming webhook requests are accepted without verification, and processing a request can change the spec.pollingInterval field of a matching GitRepo resource in any namespace. A caller with network access to the webhook service and no Kubernetes credentials can therefore alter GitRepo configuration outside the namespaces they are authorized for.  This only affects SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.16 before 0.16.2, older versions are not affected.

A privilege mismatch was found in Fleet. When a bundle requested namespace labels or annotations through the namespaceLabels and namespaceAnnotations options, the resulting namespace metadata update was not subject to the same authorization as the rest of the bundle's deployment. As a result, a bundle could change labels and annotations on a target namespace even when the identity it was pinned to was not authorized to modify that namespace. This affected SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.16 before 0.16.2, 0.15 before 0.15.7, 0.14 before 0.14.11, 0.13 before 0.13.16 and potentially older versions.

A cross-tenant authorization issue was discovered in SUSE Rancher Fleet. During agent-initiated cluster registration, cluster labels supplied by the registering agent, including labels in the reserved management.cattle.io/ namespace such as the cluster display name label, were applied to the resulting upstream Cluster object. Because Fleet resolves GitRepo and Bundle targets from those cluster labels, a party able to register a cluster into a Fleet workspace namespace shared with other tenants could cause its own cluster to satisfy targeting rules that administrators intended for a different cluster. This affects SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.16 before 0.16.1, 0.15 before 0.15.6, 0.14 before 0.14.10, 0.13 before 0.13.15, 0.12 before 0.12.19 and older versions.

A user who can supply bundle content to a repository referenced by a GitRepo resource, for example through Git push access, or through permission to create or modify a GitRepo, can cause SUSE Rancher Fleet to read files from the filesystem of the environment that processes the bundle and include their contents in the generated Bundle resource. This can expose configuration or credential material that the user has no Kubernetes RBAC permission to read, including Helm registry credentials made available to the bundle-processing job when per-path Helm credentials are configured. This affects Fleet 0.16 before 0.16.2, 0.15 before 0.15.7, 0.14 before 0.14.11, 0.13 before 0.13.16, 0.12 before 0.12.20 and potentially older unsupported versions.

Apache Karaf's instance-management service (InstanceServiceImpl) builds the command line used to launch a child Karaf JVM by string concatenation, then executes it through /bin/sh (Unix) or cscript (Windows). The caller-supplied javaOpts value is spliced into that string unquoted. A javaOpts value containing shell metacharacters (;, |, `, $(...)) is interpreted by the shell instead of being passed to the JVM as an option, giving arbitrary OS command execution as the Karaf process user. Reachable via the shell commands instance:create, instance:start, instance:restart, instance:change-opts, and the equivalent InstanceMBean JMX operations (createInstance, startInstance, changeJavaOpts, cloneInstance). Mitigation  * Set karaf.secured.command.compulsory.roles=admin in etc/system.properties to close the fail-open gap for all unconfigured command scopes. * Restrict which principals can reach instance:* commands and InstancesMBean via etc/users.properties role assignments. * Treat javaOpts passed to instance:create/instance:start/instance:change-opts/InstancesMBean as untrusted input only from fully-trusted operators.

LDAPCache and LDAPBackingEngine build LDAP search filters for user lookup and role lookup by textually substituting the placeholders %u, %dn, and %fqdn (drawn from the login name, the resolved user DN, and its fully qualified namespace form) into administrator-configured filter templates (userFilter, roleFilter). Before the fix, the only sanitization applied to the substituted value was double backslashed: filter = filter.replaceAll(Pattern.quote("%u"), Matcher.quoteReplacement(user)); filter = filter.replace("\\", "\\\\"); This does not escape the other characters RFC 4515 requires escaping in an LDAP search filter: *, (, ), and NUL. A login name containing any of these can change the structure of the resulting filter rather than being matched as a literal value (e.g. a crafted username can turn an equality match into a wildcard match, or close/reopen filter clauses), widening what the search returns and potentially causing a login or role lookup to match an LDAP entry other than the intended one, over-granting roles, and depending on deployment-specific filter templates, potentially affecting which account a login resolved to. It's not exploitable through every entry points: LDAPLoginModule and LDAPPubkeyLoginModule both called Util.doRFC2254Encoding() (correct RFC 4515 escaping) on the login name before handing it to LDAPCache, which masked the missing escaping in LDAPCache for those two call paths. Using LDAPCache directly (bypassing the login modules) does not reproduce through the normal LDAPLoginModule/LDAPPubkeyLoginModule authentication flow for this reason. It does reproduce through two other call paths that reach LDAPCache/LDAPBackingEngine without any prior escaping: * GSSAPILdapLoginModule passes the NameCallback name straight through, unescaped. * LDAPBackingEngine (listRoles) passes principal.getName() straight through, unescaped.

Fleet before 4.89.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in the activity list endpoints (GET /api/v1/fleet/activities and GET /api/v1/fleet/hosts/{id}/activities). The deprecated cursor-pagination helper appendListOptionsWithCursorToSQL interpolated the caller-supplied sort/order key into the SQL ORDER BY clause without an allowlist, so an authenticated user with read access to Activity could order results by arbitrary columns. The impact is read-only and bounded to columns on the activity_past table that are not otherwise returned in these responses (e.g. details), allowing their values to be inferred through the resulting sort order; there is no write access, privilege escalation, or reachability of node_key or other host-join columns through these endpoints. Fixed in 4.89.0, which removes the deprecated helper and passes the sort column through SanitizeColumn.

Fleet before 4.87.0 does not protect the two endpoints that serve in-house iOS application packages and manifests (enterprise tier only) with the intended random, time-limited URL token. Because Apple's InstallEnterpriseApplication MDM command requires these URLs to be reachable without a Fleet session, they cannot rely on session-based authentication, and the missing token allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the Fleet server to download in-house IPA binaries and their metadata (bundle identifier, version, and name) by guessing sequential title identifiers. The impact is limited to read-only disclosure; there is no privilege escalation or write access, and the free tier is unaffected (it returns fleet.ErrMissingLicense).
